Masafumi Sanai publishes “Rarry” through his Taisho imprint, and holds a photo exhibition also titled “Rarry”
“Rarry” is the twelfth work to be published by Masafumi Sanai’s (New Cosmos of Photography judge) own publishing imprint called “Taisho.” A photo exhibition is being held concurrently at NADiff a/p/a/r/t gallery in Ebisu.
The photos are of 16 dishes of ramen noodles and 16 dishes of curry lined up in a straightforward manner.
Over a two-year period, he frequently went to ramen and curry restaurants, between six and twelve times a week.
Sanai said: “Well, I am a photographer, and I reminded myself that when shooting photos, I have to confront photos diligently. Of course, that goes without saying.”
A seminar is planned during the exhibition period. Come and take a look.
