MOTOYAMA Shuhei’s Solo Exhibition titled “Horo-ki (DIARY BY A WANDERER)” will open at VISUAL ARTS GALLERY OSAKA

Shuhei Motoyama, an Honorable mention award winner at the New Cosmos of Photography 1999 (20th competition), will hold a solo exhibition at VISUAL ARTS GALLERY OSAKA.

The artist’s comments on the exhibition:
“The works on display in this exhibition are from my photo booklet series “SM TABLOID,” which covers all of my activities since I took up photography. The booklets were published to coincide with my photo exhibitions last year. Sixteen booklets have been published over five years. Obviously there are marked changes in the photos I’ve taken since the first booklet. I think that change is fine with photography. I didn’t photograph with any specific theme in my mind, rather I tried to photograph what I thought was happening before my eyes as faithfully as possible. I look forward to seeing people who live in and around Osaka and those visiting the city to enjoy the exhibition.”
