Toshio Endoh Solo Exhibition —«P» & «f»— opens at Museum Haus Kasuya
Toshio Endoh, an Excellence award winner at New Cosmos of Photography 1993 (7th competition), will hold a solo exhibition at Museum Haus Kasuya.
Toshio Endoh has entered each of the New Cosmos of Photography photo contests, and his entries have always been as powerful as those of young entrants. With his unchanging power of concentration, he succeeded in winning an Excellence award, and this time he is exhibiting the “blocks” he has produced up to now. Please come and enjoy his work, which are filled with his youthful way of thinking and fresh expression in spite of his age.
The artist’s comments on the exhibition:
“I have pasted pictures of people who are familiar to me on blocks as Japanese dosojin (traveler’s guardian deities) since around 1995. I had neither a place nor an opportunity to show them for a long time. When I first entered the Dome made by Taira Ichikawa at Haus Kasuya, I wished I could display those people there …”
