Yoshinori Henguchi participates in “Wording image [spell],” a group exhibition with Hiroko Ichihara and other artists
Yoshinori Henguchi, an Excellence Award winner in 2006 (the 29th competition), is taking part in “Wording image [spell],” which is a group exhibition with Hiroko Ichihara, Kotaro Ushijima, and Yoshinori Henguchi held at the art project room ARTZONE in Kyoto. We hope that you will take this opportunity to attend the exhibition.
Excerpt from the exhibition press release:
Today’s lifestyles are based on communication through words. As it is inevitable that our lives fall into confusion at times, we wish to look for an image that links everything together, while communicating with words or depicting them. This time, two young promising artists are getting together to welcome Hiroko Ichihara, an artist who has been at the forefront of art using words in Japan. One of the two is Kotaro Ushijima. He was originally a stone sculptor, but tries all sorts of materials to deeply depict his own story. The other artist is Yoshinori Henguchi. He made a vivid debut in the legendary magazine “Wasteland,” and he is a highly rated photographer as well. We hope that we will be able to find the essence and a future image for ever-changing words.
