Yusuke Hishida holds an exhibition titled “border / McD”
Yusuke Hishida’s (2008 (31st competition) and 2010 (33rd competition) Honorable Mention winner) photographs take the theme of lines drawn across countries, such as national borders and military boundaries, and scenes found in these areas. The theme featured this time in the “border” series is the worldwide hamburger franchise McDonalds. Photos were taken from the viewpoints of boundary lines and of McDonalds transcending religious borders. Hishida visited McDonalds in many countries. Boundary lines become visible as you look from one to another. Come and take a look.
