Yutaka Yamashita holds photo exhibition titled “Gunkan Apartments” at the Visual Arts Gallery in Tokyo

Yutaka Yamashita, an Excellence Award winner of New Cosmos of Photography 2004 (the 27th competition) is holding a photo exhibition titled “Gunkan Apartments” at the Visual Arts Gallery in Tokyo. The Osaka municipal housing complex, commonly known as “Gunkan Apartments,” attracted attention as a modern housing project featuring the latest facilities at the time of its construction in the early Showa period (1926~). This exhibition is composed of groups of photographs Yamashita took continuously over a period of seventeen years. We hope that you will take this opportunity to enjoy the exhibition.
