“New Cosmos of Photography” Exhibition Tour 2007 in Sendai, Fukuoka, Osaka and Nagoya

The award-winning works of New Cosmos of Photography 2006 (the 29th competition) are to be exhibited at four venues in Sendai, Fukuoka, Osaka, and Nagoya, respectively, starting on February 23, 2007.

The works icluded in the touring exhibition are the Grand Prize winning work and five Excellence Award-winning works ( six contestants) chosen from a total of 1,505 entries to New Cosmos of Photography 2006 ( 29th competition), and new works of the Grand Prize winner of New Cosmos of Photography 2005 ( 28th competition). This touring exhibition brings together featured exhibits from the highly reputed “New Cosmos of Photography 2006 Tokyo Exhibition” held at Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography from November through December 2006.

Conversations with artists including exhibitors will be held at each venue to provide local people with an opportunity to exchange opinions on the artists’ concepts, intentions, and photographic expressions.
