“New Cosmos of Photography” Exhibition Tour 2009 in Sendai and Osaka

The award-winning works of New Cosmos of Photography 2008 (the 31st competition) are to be exhibited at two venues in Sendai and Osaka, respectively, by Canon starting on February 20, 2009.

The works included in the touring exhibition are one Grand Prize-winning work and five Excellence Award-winning works, chosen from a total of 1,517 entries to New Cosmos of Photography 2008 (31st competition), and three new works of Co-Grand Prize winners of New Cosmos of Photography 2007 (30th competition). This touring exhibition brings together featured exhibits from the highly reputed “New Cosmos of Photography 2008 Tokyo Exhibition” held at Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in November of this year.

Conversations with artists including exhibitors will be held at each venue to provide opportunities to exchange opinions on the artists’ concepts, intentions, and photographic expressions.
