Announcing the New Cosmos of Photography Osaka Exhibition 2013
The New Cosmos of Photography 2012 (35th competition) exhibition of award-winning works will begin on April 2 in Osaka.
At the New Cosmos of Photography Osaka Exhibition 2013, works will be exhibited by one Grand Prize winner (Osaka resident), four Excellence Award winners, and seven out of 20 Honorable Mention winners, who were born or live in the Kansai region, chosen from a total of 1,325 entries to New Cosmos of Photography 2012 (35th competition). Maya Akashika, Grand Prize winner of New Cosmos of Photography 2011 (34th competition), is holding an exhibition showcasing her new works at the same time. This touring exhibition brings together featured exhibits from the highly reputed “New Cosmos of Photography 2012 Tokyo Exhibition” held at Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in November of last year.
Conversations with exhibitors will be held during the exhibition to provide an opportunity to exchange opinions on the artists’concepts, intentions, and photographic expressions.
