On November 24, Canon held the “Canon Enjoy J. League Program” at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, as one of a series of the company’s activities to contribute to society. Yokohama F·Marinos cooperated in this, the ninth time the program has been held. Children with disabilities residing in Kanagawa Prefecture were invited to tour the pitch, meet the players and watch a match.
During the tour of the pitch, the children were thrilled at the appearance of Marinos-kun and Marinosuke, mascot characters of Yokohama F·Marinos. They delighted in shaking hands with and hugging the mascots. After the match, Yokohama F·Marinos defender Ryuji Kawai, who scored an important goal that day, and forward Hideo Oshima came to meet the children.
Canon employees recruited in advance volunteered to support the proceedings of the program, helping out by acting as ushers and guides at the stadium and taking photos for the children. The volunteers also ate lunch and socialized with them.
