On August 10, Canon Australia announced the winner of the 2009 Canon Creative for a Cause campaign.

12th Canon Enjoy the J. League Program Held in Yokohama

On June 20,2009, as part of Canon’s contribution to the community, the 12th Canon Enjoy the J. League Program took place in the form of a soccer workshop for disabled children living in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Canon Takes Part in “Walk the World”Charity Event

On June 7, 2009, Canon employees and their family members took part in “Walk the World”, a charity event organized by the Japan Office of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and the Japan Association for the United Nations World Food Programme.

On October 18, 2008 Canon held the “Canon Enjoy the J. League Program,” as one of the company’s social contribution activities, at Ajinomoto Stadium in Chofu City, Tokyo.

10th Canon Enjoy the J. League Program Held in Saitama

On May 17, 2008, Canon held the “Canon Enjoy the J. League Program,” as one of the company’s social contribution activities, at Saitama Stadium 2○○2, in Saitama City.

Holding of the 9th Canon Enjoy J. League Program in Yokohama

On November 24, Canon held the “Canon Enjoy J. League Program” at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, as one of a series of the company’s activities to contribute to society.

Donations for Foster Children

On September 28, Canon Opto Malaysia (COM) collected contributions for the children of the nearby Rymah Amal Limpahan Kasih child-care facility. The company and its employees presented the children with necessities such as a washing machine, bedding and furniture and held a fund drive as well.

Canon Medical Equipment Donated to a National Hospital of Malaysia

As part of its social contribution activities, Canon Opto (Malaysia) and Canon Marketing (Malaysia) presented Canon’s CXDI-50C X-ray digital scanner to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah National Hospital of Malaysia.

Thai Canon Group Donates Medical Equipment to the Prasat Neurological Institute (National Cerebro-neurological Research Institute of Thailand)

On July 19, 2007, the Thai Canon Group celebrated the 80th birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and concurrently commemorated the 120th anniversary of Japan - Thailand diplomatic relations and held “Canon Cares for Your Life, ”an event commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of Canon Inc.

The Eighth Canon Enjoy J. League Program: Held in Ibaraki Prefecture for the First Time

On May 26, as part of its social contribution activities, Canon held its “Canon Enjoy J. League Program” at Kashima Soccer Stadium in Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture, commemorating the first time the event had been held in Ibaraki Prefecture.

Orphanage children invited to tour environmental facilities

On December 20, Canon Opto Malaysia invited 36 children from a nearby orphanage to its office to introduce the environmental activities of Canon, and to show them around the environmental facilities.

Charity Walk “Walk the World”

Charity walk “Walk the World” sponsored by The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) was held in the Minatomirai district in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, on May 21, 2006. Canon employees and their families, about thirty in all, took part in the event.

“The 6th Canon Enjoy J. League Program”

Canon invited the disabled children living in Tokyo to a J. League official game (FC Tokyo vs. Omiya Ardija) held at the Ajinomoto Stadium in Chofu, Tokyo, in cooperation with Japan Professional Soccer League (J. League) and FC Tokyo, on May 6, 2006.

One Heart − One World Canon Vietnam supports aid programs for the disabled and orphans

Canon Vietnam took part in a support project conducted by Association for the Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans (ASVHO), the Ministry of Labor, and Vietnam Television (VTV), March 14 to April 14, 2006.

“The 5th Canon Enjoy J. League Program”

Canon Inc. invited disabled children residing in Kanagawa Prefecture to a regular J. League match between Yokohama F. Marinos and Sanfrecce Hiroshima played at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture on November 20, in cooperation with Japan Professional Football League (J. League) and Yokohama Marinos Corporation.

Canon Inc. invited children from children-welfare facilities in Tokyo and their attendants to the J. League regular game between “Tokyo Verdy 1969” and “Kashiwa Reysol” held at Ajinomoto Stadium on Saturday, May 14, 2005.

Support for 2005 Special Olympics World Winter Games

Canon Inc. supported 2005 Special Olympics World Winter Games held in Nagano, Japan from February 26 to March 5.
