Support for the Oita International Wheelchair Marathon

Since 2006-
Started in 1981 as the world's first international marathon for independent wheelchairs, the Oita International Wheelchair Marathon is now the largest event of its kind in the world, as well as the benchmark competition for wheelchair runners vying to race. Canon has supported the race since 2006.

The mission of the American Cancer Society is to eliminate cancer as a major health concern through extensive research, education, advocacy and services for patients and their families. Throughout the U.S., Canon and its employees have supported ACS to help the organization continue its research and services.
National Center for Missing & Exploited Children(NCMEC)

Since 1997-
Canon has supported the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). Canon4Kids helps raise public awareness of the national issue of child abduction and exploitation and it stresses the need for parents to have updated digital photos of children to assist in the search for a missing child. Canon provides digital photographic and imaging technology products to NCMEC and law enforcement agencies nationwide to aid in the recovery of missing children.
