Aid for Photo Panels Introducing Activities of The Big Issue Japan Fund

Photo panels of The Big Issue Japan Fund activities, printed out by Canon
The Big Issue Japan Fund is a non-profit organization whose parent body is the limited company The Big Issue Japan. The goal of this NPO is to provide comprehensive support to homeless people to enable them to become self-reliant. To this end it carries out programs providing livelihood independence support, employment assistance and cultural and sports promotion, such as homeless soccer.
To commemorate the sixth anniversary since The Big Issue Japan began carrying out its activities in Tokyo and the second anniversary of the Fund's inauguration, Canon contributed to the printing of photo panels introducing the activities of The Big Issue Japan Fund. Included among them were photos of Nobushi Japan* in action. This team represented Japan at the Homeless World Cup.
The plan is to use these photo panels hereafter by displaying them on occasions such as events organized by The Big Issue Japan.
(*) The Homeless World Cup is held annually to enlighten people about problems concerning poverty and homeless people becoming self-reliant. In 2009, Milan, Italy, hosted this event, in which 48 countries and territories participated. This was the second Cup to which Japan sent a team, the first time being five years ago.
Canon loaned out digital video camcorders to photograph the activities of Nobushi Japan.
