As part of its Social Contribution Activities, Canon Opto (Malaysia) and Canon Marketing (Malaysia) presented Canon's CXDI-50C X-ray digital scanner to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah National Hospital of Malaysia.

This donation was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Malaysia, the 70th anniversary of Canon Inc., the 20th anniversary of Canon Marketing (Malaysia), and the 19th anniversary of Canon Opto (Malaysia), and also to express gratitude to the citizens of Malaysia who have supported us for 20 years.

The donation ceremony was attended by many governmental dignitaries and the press, as well as Yang Berhormat Datuk Dr Haji Abdul Latiff Ahmad, Vice-minister of the Malaysian Department of Health.

In his speech, President Tanaka of Canon Opto (Malaysia) gave thanks, saying "The citizens of Malaysia have been helping Canon for 20 years. In return, we are now honored to help raise medical standards in Malaysia with Canon's product."

This is the first X-ray digital scanner of Canon to be delivered to Malaysia, and it will be of great use for medical care in Malaysia.
