Through the introduction of Canon-developed production equipment capable of recovering organic solvents, the company has made possible the recovery of more than 90% of organic solvents which previously would have been discharged into the atmosphere during the component production process. The technology boosts concentrations of low-concentration volatile organic compound (VOC) gasses, which had proven difficult to recover, enabling the condensation and recovery of highconcentration VOC gasses at high levels of purity and facilitating the recycling of organic solvents within the component production process.
