LCDs continue to undergo dramatic advances. At the same time, development is proceeding on other display technologies, such as the SED, or Surface-conduction Electron-emitter display. SED technology is the subject of increasing attention because it is based on the same principles as CRT displays, which means dynamic and bright colors, but it also makes possible flat-panel displays.
