In Stage 1, we completed five works including Pine Trees by Hasegawa Tohaku, a National Treasure housed in the Tokyo National Museum, and Eight-Planked Bridge by Ogata Korin, now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The high resolution facsimiles have been donated to the shrines, temples and museums that owned the originals. They include three "homecoming" works that have been difficult to see in Japan, as they are owned by overseas institutions.
