In Stage 2, we completed five works under the "High Resolution Facsimiles of Historical Cultural Assets" theme, including Landscapes of the Four Seasons by Sesshu, a National Treasure held by the Mohri Museum, and Namban Screens by Kano Naizen held by Kobe City Museum. These have been donated to the temples, museums and other institutions that own the originals. A total of 10 high resolution facsimiles have been reproduced so far, with five in the first year (Stage 1) now being joined by the five in Stage 2.
The recipients will exhibit the high resolution facsimiles to the public, thereby providing opportunities for people throughout the world to have a closer look at some of Japan's finest culture and artwork.
